MANILA, Philippines — The International Real Estate Federation or FIABCI has named Florentino Dulalia Jr., chairman emeritus and founding president of FIABCI Philippines and chairman and CEO of Dulalia Group of Companies, its vice president elect for 2018-2019, paving the way for his eventual ascension as president in 2020 – the first Filipino to assume the post.
His term as FIABCI World president will coincide with the holding of the FIABCI 71st World Real Estate Congress in the Philippines in May 2020.
FIABCI, founded in 1951 and based in Paris, is an umbrella organization and business network of real estate professionals worldwide representing more than 40 professions of the real estate sector including developers, architects, brokers, investors, managers and other experts.
With more than 48 national and multinational chapters in Europe, Asia-Pacific, Americas and Africa and Near East and with members in 65 countries, including 87 professional associations, 79 academic institutions, 2,300 regular members and about 1,000,000 associate members, FIABCI is the most representative organization of the real estate industry in the world and holds a special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations.
Dulalia served as FIABCI international board member (2017-2018), president of FIABCI professional division (2017-2018) and president of FIABCI Asia-Pacific region (2016-2017).
He is currently the national president of the Philippine Federation of Real Estate Service Professionals.
A licensed real estate broker and consultant and a developer, Dulalia has been in real estate business for more than 40 years.
As a real estate professional and businessman, he served as head of various business and real estate organizations in the Philippines and through serving these organizations, he received more than 270 awards and recognitions among which is the “Outstanding Professional in the field of Real Estate Service” awarded by the Philippine Regulatory Commission in 2015 and one of the five nominees for the “Nubla Excellence Award” (among the 46 professions regulated by PRC).
He also received the FIABCI Medal of Honor in 2017 for his outstanding service to the Federation.
